The negotiating power of clothing, i.e. the potential of the right outfit for the right occasion, is no secret: every time we choose to wear a certain item of clothing we directly or indirectly influence the effectiveness of the conversation with our interlocutor or the outcome of an important meeting. Finding the right balance between dress code and personal style, as well as the ability to fight a prejudgment cannot be improvised.

The importance of clothing in the business world

When it comes to dress code in the business world you have to think of all the times you have asked yourself ‘how should I dress for tomorrow’s meeting’? The Negotiational Dress Code is an art that allows you to choose the right outfit according to the occasion in which you are to convey the desired message not only verbally but also with the aim of maximizing the chances of success during a negotiation and / or sale.

The right negotiation dress code allows you to feel confident and to express your intentions, thoughts and ambitions while the wrong outfit can be a deterrent to your success. The right outfit helps you to gain confidence in your abilities and potential.

Knowing the rules of the Negotiation Dress Code allows you not only to make an excellent first impression on your interlocutor, your boss or increase your sales skills, but also to convey through your image who you are, your value and the value of your work. The right outfit not only ‘makes the monk’, but also allows you to maximise your sales opportunities.

For years I have been working and collaborating as an Image expert with important private and corporate clients, supporting them in the creation of an effective and solid image that conveys their own values through the research of valorizing clothing capable of transferring the desired message to themselves and their interlocutors. Ten years of experience as Image Consultant, Teacher at the Accademia Consulenza d’Immagine and since 2019 member of AICI Italy Chapter.
